A plan for Achieving Self Support (PASS) is a way for a person to save money to purchase items or services needed to reach a vocational goal. In order to pursue this option, a specific vocational goal is needed with the intention to decrease dependence on Social Security benefits by the completion of the PASS. SVRI offers assistance with developing plans. 

Developing a plan starts with you.

  • Do you want to work?
  • Do you get SSI (or can qualify for SSI by having this plan) because you're disabled or blind?
  • do you have other income and/or resources to use to get a job or start a business?

What is a plan for Achieving Self Support (PASS)?
