A helping hand in a time of need

The UW-Stout Student Emergency Fund was created to assist students faced with difficult decisions and challenges based on unexpected financial demands. Emergency situations may include accident, illness, death of a family member, fire damage, temporary housing needs, or some other unexpected extenuating circumstance causing financial hardship. It is assumed that students seeking funding from the student emergency fund have exhausted all other resources of financial aid and potential funding.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Student must be currently enrolled at UW-Stout
  • Student must have experienced some form of financial hardship
  • Other possible resources have been considered and are either unavailable or insufficient
  • Student may be asked to provide sufficient documentation of financial hardship

Staff review each submitted application and will contact you to discuss your situation.

Award amounts will vary depending on need and availability of funds.
