National Association of Collegiate Esports
UW-Stout has joined the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), a nonprofit membership association of over 170 colleges & universities and 5,600 student-athletes across the United States.
Founded in 2016, NACE is the largest governing body in collegiate esports that tackles issues such as competition scheduling and player eligibility. As of 2019, more than 90% of all varsity esports programs are members of NACE.
We don't just play games, we make them too.
Game Design students showcase their work at the semi-annual Stout Game Expo (SGX), where students, friends, and families come to try out dozens of free games on behalf of the Game Design program. Games are created by freshmen, sophomores, juniors and senior students on a variety of platforms.
