Dr. Craig Eliason is an art historian with an interest in the history of typography and type design. A self-described “professional typophile,” he is a researcher, critic and reviewer of typefaces, and since 2008 he has developed his own type designs. In 2010 Eliason launched Teeline Fonts, a digital typefoundry. His work has been published in Typographica, Design Issues, Codex: The Journal of Typography, and Design and Culture, and he has presented his work at national and international typographic conferences, including TypeCon and the Association Typographique Internationale. He has taught at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN since 2002.
