Who should attend?

Anyone who is interested in increasing awareness and reducing stigma around suicide and behavioral health.

What's going on?

We will show the documentary “The Ripple Effect.” This documentary features Kevin, a man that took action to end his life and lived to tell his story. This is his story about advocacy and hope as it relates to increasing awareness and reducing stigma around suicide. Local behavioral health vendors will share information about their services. After the documentary we will have an opportunity to hear from a panel and engage in a community dialogue about suicide.

Why should I attend?

Connect with others that share a concern about behavioral health. We will be providing snacks, so please register by November 27, 2019.

What does it cost?

This event is presented free of charge as an ongoing and integral part of the UW-Stout Center to Study Health Promotion & Wellbeing. A special thank you to Marshfield Clinic Health System for partnering on this event, as well as the UW-Stout Cross-Disciplinary Committee for Valuing People for providing the grant funding so that participants can enjoy a snack at the event.
