2016-2017 Year in Review
from Mark Parsons
Many exciting things have been happening at the Stout University Foundation this year! We continue to align Chancellor Meyer’s vision for more proactive fundraising and a stronger philanthropic culture for UW-Stout with the Foundation’s strategic plan. Our expanded major gift program now includes three full-time development officers, we continue to develop a more robust stewardship program and strive to build the capacity of the Foundation to embark on our first comprehensive fundraising campaign.
I am happy to report that the Stout University Foundation has once again had a very successful year. For the third consecutive year the Foundation's fundraising accomplishments have exceeded our fundraising goals. Outright gifts totaled $2.6 million, while total fundraising production, including pledges and planned gifts reached an impressive $6.6 million. The total assets of the Foundation have reached record levels exceeding $58 million dollars, as of June 30, 2017. Moreover, the Foundation is financially strong and poised to take on the new challenges of a rapidly changing landscape in funding for public higher education not only here in Wisconsin but nationwide. We are sincerely grateful to our alumni, friends and industry partners for their generous support that has made this record success possible.
