Until then, there are a few things left for you to do.

New Freshmen

For first-time incoming students coming to UW-Stout in the fall, read on:

Enrollment Checklist
Upon acceptance Set up your UW-Stout email account. You will automatically receive a Life@Stout booklet in the mail that will include Housing directions. Follow the online process to sign your contract and pay your $125 housing pre-payment fee to hold your residence hall space. Students who sign up before March 1st will receive priority room selection!
October 2017 Stout University Foundation Scholarship Application is available online.
October 2017 FAFSA for 2018-19 academic year available using 2016 tax year information.
October - November 2017 Come visit us during Campus Preview Days and Stout Saturdays!
January 8, 2018 Portfolio due for all Art & Design BFA programs.
February 15, 2018 Priority deadline for FAFSA to be eligible for financial need-based scholarships through the Stout Foundation Scholarship Application.
March 2018 Receive Registration and Orientation information.
March 2018 Receive Housing room preferences, roommate questionnaire and University Dining Plan selection information from University Housing. Check your UW-Stout email for this!
Beginning April 1, 2018 Minnesota residents register for reciprocity. Registration is available online.
June 5-8, 2018 First-Year Registration and Orientation
June 19-22, 2018 First-Year Registration and Orientation
June 26-29, 2018 First-Year Registration and Orientation
June 2018 Check your UW-Stout email for your room selection process and time from University Housing.
June 2018 Sign the Fee Payment Agreement.
June 2018 Be sure to request final high school transcripts showing your graduation date, and have college/university transcripts sent to the UW-Stout Admissions Office.
August 2018 Check your UW-Stout email for move-in instructions from University Housing.
August 2018 Sign Master Promissory Notes (MPN) online prior to beginning classes (Access Stout).
September 2, 2018 Move in to your residence hall.
September 5, 2018 Classes begin!

Aug 1, 2017 Online application is open for the 2017-18 academic school year.
Sep 1, 2017 The Admissions Office begins reviewing complete applications as they are submitted.
Oct 2017 Stout University Foundation Scholarship Application is available online.
Oct 1, 2017 FAFSA for 2018-19 academic year available using 2017 tax year information.
Oct - Nov 2017 Come visit us during our Campus Preview Days and Stout Saturdays.
Feb 5, 2018 Stout University Foundation Scholarship Applications due.
Feb 15, 2018 If you applied for Stout University Foundation Scholarships: Priority deadline for FAFSA.
Feb - March 2018 Receive Registration information.
March 2018 If you signed a Housing contract: Receive your roommate questionnaire, room preferences, and University Dining Plan selection information. Please fill out and submit to University Housing.
March 1, 2018 Portfolio due for all Art & Design BFA programs by noon. Check your acceptance letter for information about how to submit your portfolio.
March 6 & 20, 2018 Visit us for Transfer Tuesdays.
March 15, 2018 Priority deadline for FAFSA. Meet this date to ensure your financial aid is ready in the fall.
April 1, 2018 and ongoing Minnesota residents register for reciprocity. Registration is available online.
April 2018 and ongoing Register for classes.
June 8, 2018 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application due.
June 8, 2018 Final college transcripts due to the Admissions Office to be considered for the Transfer Student Scholarship.
June 2018 Financial aid award letters posted to Access Stout.
June 2018 If you signed a Housing contract: Receive your roommate information, residence hall assignment, and move-in guide. Please fill out and submit to University Housing.
July 2018 Parking permit registration begins. Registration available online.
Aug 2018 Log in to Access Stout for your fall semester billing information.
Aug 2018 If you signed a Housing contract: Receive move-in instructions from University Housing.
Aug 2018 Master Promissory Notes (MPN) must be signed online prior to beginning classes.
Aug 31, 2018 Final deadline to submit your official college transcripts showing Spring 2018 grades from your prior school to the Admissions Office.
Sep 2, 2018 Move in to residence halls.
Sep 5, 2018 Classes begin!
Spring Semester Checklist
May 1, 2017 Online application is open for the Spring 2018 semester. The Admissions Office begins reviewing complete applications as they are submitted.
Any time and ongoing FAFSA for 2018-2019 academic year available using 2016 tax year information.
Any time and ongoing Parking permit registration begins. Registration available online.
October 1, 2017 at noon Portfolio due for all Art & Design BFA programs. Check your acceptance letter for information about how to submit your portfolio.
Any time after acceptance Minnesota residents register for reciprocity. Registration is available online.
October – November 2017 Come visit us during our Campus Preview Days and Stout Saturdays.
October 2017 Receive Registration information.
