The Office of University Communications is responsible for:
Our office distributes news releases and a weekly e-newsletter, the Polytechnic Post; arranges media interviews with faculty, staff and students; is responsible for official social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.); produces the Take2 videos and other news videos; produces content for the Outlook and e-Outlook alumni publications; and produces the annual StoutQuest research e-magazine and commencement day e-newsletters.

Our office is designated as the main contact with state and federal elected officials. We also assist the Chancellor’s Office in maintaining relationships with the UW System Board of Regents. Finally, we assist the campus in maintaining relationships with business and civic organizations, disseminating information about the university and directing inquiries. Our office produces UW-Stout Today (daily e-mail), as well as other official communications to faculty, staff and students. It also administers the tobacco-free campus initiative.
